Diana Parsons

Diana Parsons uses fabric, stitch and digital print to make wall pieces, wall hangings and freely suspended panels.Her training as a painter allows her to navigate the boundaries between art and craft, integrating photographs, drawings and paintings into her textile practice. Thread provides the means to explore the relationship between time and place using family archive material, cultural references and the figure. Connections to location give her work structure and context. As an artist and teacher, Diana runs workshops, accepts commissions and regularly exhibits her work in group shows and as a solo artist.
